Lauren Daigle (September 9, 1991) is an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. After being signed to the label Centricity Music, she released her debut album, "How Can It Be", in 2015.

Daigle was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her first musical influences came from zydeco, blues, and Cajun music. From an early age, she became interested in singing. She had to be out of school for several months after contracting infectious mononucleosis, so she devoted herself completely to singing. After finishing her studies, she did missionary work in Brazil and then entered Louisiana State University for the Study of Children and Families.

"How Can It Be" was released in April 2015. It entered the Top 20 on the "Billboard" Top Albums chart for all genres. In addition, as part of iTunes, it was very popular among the best Christian songs. For 7 weeks, the song was on the "Christian Airplay" chart and was ranked No. 1 on "Billboard". Daigle won the cult song of the year, for her single "How Can It Be" at the K-Love Awards. The album with the same name, containing this single was nominated in 2016 for the Grammy Award for Best Album of Contemporary Christian Music.

Daigle was also very pleased (on two occasions) when she won a Paloma Award in 2015 and the 2016 K-Love Fan Awards for both Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.
