How many people died in World War II?
World War II was the deadliest war in the history of humanity. World War II started in 1939, with Hitler’s’ policy for world domination and it ended up in 1945. World War II was a battle between the Axis and Allies and it is said that around sixty one countries participated in this war.
There was a huge number of people killed. It is said that the numbers vary from 50 million to 80 million people. It is believed that in this war at least 6 million Jews were killed. But, in total, usually we can find that 60 million is number most used as the number of casualties of the war.
It is thought that with the 60 million who were killed, more were civilians than soldiers. Noting a single country, it has been pointed out that the Soviet Union is the country with the greatest number of deaths with over 27 million. So, the total number of people who were killed from humans causing self destruction again each other was extremely and acutely scary. Hopefully, what happened during World War II will never ever happen again.
