The Pentagon is in Arlington, VA. This administrative building is the US Headquarters for the Department of Defense. It has a square footage of 6,646,360 ft and sits on 1,100 acres of land
Coincidentally, construction started on September 11, 1941. A day when 60 years later became the most horrific terrorist attack on the USA.
The building opened on January 15, 1943. The designers decided to make it a five-sided building because it bordered five roads, thus it became The Pentagon.
