How many stars are there in the Solar System?

We got you! Did you really forget that there is only one star in our Solar System? You don't have to be an astronomer to know that our Universe comprises trillions of stars while our small system has the Sun.

By the way, did you know that besides major planets our planetary system contains several thousand smaller objects such as natural satellites and asteroids?

Ok, trick question but if it said our solar system than yes one.

It doesn't need to say our Solar system because our sun is officially named sol and so there's actually only one Solar system but many star systems.

It did not ask how many in OUR solar system it asked in THE solar system and many experts consider the total number of planetary groups ewvolving around a sun/star as The solar system. The galaxy is made up of that solar system along with numerous othe wandering heavenly bodies.
