How many whiskers does a cat typically have on their cheeks?
A typical cat has 24 whiskers on their cheeks - ie 12 each side. Whiskers are very sensitive and they use them as a sensory tool, in the dark or to fit through tight spaces.
Cats also have shorter whiskers as eyebrows, chin whiskers and whiskers at the back of a cats front paws.
Domestic cats are great companions and are loyal and can become attached to one person.
It is always best to keep you cat indoors to protect wildlife as they are an instinctive hunter when left to their own devices.

I'm no cat lover either, but I've seen a lot of them...even owned one once. However, it never occurred to me to wonder this. Got lucky and guessed 24 by counting a mental picture of a cat.
