If the Pacific Ocean were emptied which of these continents or areas could you fit in it?
One can hardly believe it but the great ocean is so huge that it could fit all the continents and even the island of Greenland as a bonus. Impressive, isn't it? Few people realize how large the total area of the ocean is. It is even subdivided into two parts – the Northern and the Southern ones. Rafi Manory, LOffshore islands are considered part of the nearby continent. A problem might come with islands on mid ocean ridges, but even there, cultural influences predominate. Iceland is considered a part of Europe.
