The 'Lark Rise to Candle' is a trilogy of semi-autobiographical novel about the countryside of north-east Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England, at the end of the 19th century. They were written by Flora Thomson and first published together in 1945. The stories were previously published separately as 'Lark Rise' in 1939, 'Over Candleford' in 1941 and 'Candleford Green' in 1943.

The stories relate to three communities: The Hamlet of Junifer Hill (Lark Rise), where Flora grew up; Buckingham (Candleford), one of the nearest towns (which include both Brackley and Bicester) and the nearby village of Fringford (Candleford Green), where Flora got her first job in the Post Office.

The novel follows the life of Laura Timmins. At the age of 14 from her childhood Hamlet of 'Lark Rise' to the nearby village of 'Candleford Green'. The novel includes experiences from several post offices and towns she got to know.
