On Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007, the Rangers and the Orioles were playing the first game of a doubleheader in which the Rangers, who were the visiting team, set the Major League record for most runs scored in a game, defeating Baltimore by a final score of 30 to 3.

The Orioles led 3 to 0 for the first three innings and never scored again as the Rangers drove in the 30 unanswered runs. 25 of those 30 runs were scored in the final four innings. The Rangers racked up six homeruns, including two grand slams and three three-run homers.

The record-breaking victory was the biggest highlight in what was a lost season for the Texas Rangers, finishing last in the American League West division with a 75-87 record. The Orioles weren't any better, taking 4th in the American League East division with a 69-93 record.
