In the classic cartoon series 'The Flintstones', who was the mother of Pebbles Flintstone?
Pebbles Flintstone is the daughter of Fred and Wilma Flintstone in the American animated sitcom 'The Flintstones'. Pebbles is born near the end of the third season. She usually wears a bone in her red hair holding up her ponytail, and a green and black coloured shirt.
'The Flintstones' ran for 166 episodes over six series and was directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. A pilot episode was released in 1959 and the show aired on ABC between 30th September 1960 and 1st April 1966. According to 'TV Guide' (1963), Pebbles was born on 22nd February 10,000 B.C., although this is never mentioned in the show. Other sources suggest the Flintstones' era was around 1,000,000 B.C.
Pebbles is best friends with her next-door neighbour, Bamm-Bamm Rubble, who she marries when she is older. Pebbles often leads Bamm-Bamm and her other friends into misadventures, mostly because she shares her father's love of schemes, which inevitably backfire.
Pebbles's mother, Wilma, is an intelligent, level-headed woman, although she often has a habit of spending money. She is a very loyal wife to Fred, but quite capable of striking him with a club or a frying pan if Fred has got into trouble.
