In "The Flintstones", what is the name of Barney and Betty Rubble's adopted son?

Bamm-Bamm Rubble is named after the only phrase he ever speaks as a baby: "Bamm Bamm!" He carries around a giant stone club and is known to smash things all around him with his excessive baby strength. After the Flintstones had Pebbles, their friends Barney and Betty Rubble struggled to have a child, eventually wishing on a falling star. The next morning, baby Bamm-Bamm was left in a basket by their front door, and the Rubbles adopted him as Bedrock's newest, and most destructive, citizen.

Again I ask: why is the word ‘adopted’ necessary? My sister and I were adopted at birth and my only child was adopted at five weeks. And just to clear up any misunderstanding, I’m 76 and my son is 44. Neither of us has ever had the slightest notion to contact our birth families. My sister and I had the most amazing parents who loved us just as much as they loved their biological son who was born when I was 11 and my sister was seven. Our son means the world to my husband and I. Both of us would die for him. So it’s time to lose the attitude that adopted kids are somehow ‘different’ and it’s necessary to discriminate against us by putting the word ‘adopted’ in front of ‘son’ or ‘daughter’!

Howard Groopman, I remember him been left on the door step and been adopted, I only remember that they decided too and he just was there. He got his name from banging that club and saying Bambam every time he banged it
