In the movie Casablanca, what is the name of the key upscale nightclub?

The movie,"Casablanca," takes place in December 1941 in the country of Morocco, Africa. An American expatriate Rick Blaine is the proprietor of an upscale nightclub and gambling den known as Rick's Cafe American. This club attracts a varied clientele of Vichy French and German officials, refugees desperate to reach the still neutral United States, and many individuals who prey on the refugees. Although Rick professes to be neutral in all matters, it is later revealed he ran guns to Ethiopia during its war with Italy and has fought on the Loyalist side in the Spanish Civil War.

Also, in the film, Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid). Laszlo is a famous rebel, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country. We'll always have Casablanca.

It would have been much more informative if the name was spelled correctly. Americain (in French) not American. I wonder how this passed the review.

The movie came out before I was born, and even though I have never seen it, I knew without doubt, that the nightclub was called Rick's.

There is a real bar named in honour of the film called Rick's Cafe Casablanca. It was designed to look like the one in the film.

a brilliant film and still stands the test of time. There was no real script to the film and the actors winged it every day. It was also filmed on the set in the US and not in North Africa. A definite must in one's classic film collection. Oh yes, Sam couldn't play the piano either, someone else played in another room whilst Sam pretended to stroke the keys.
