The 1958 National Football League (NFL) Championship Game between the Baltimore Colts and the New York Giants is often called “The Greatest Game Ever Played.” The game was nationally televised. Football's popularity today can be traced back to Baltimore’s 23-17 overtime victory over the Giants in the original Yankee Stadium, which was demolished in 2010. The park complex today is called Heritage Field; it sits in Yankee Stadium's place. Heritage Field however will never be Yankee Stadium, but it sits on hallowed ground for sports fans.

Regarding Nissan Field, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and Lambeau Field, note the following. Nissian Field is a place primarily used for football and is the home field of the Tennessee Titans of the NFL and the Tennessee State Tigers of Tennessee State University. This stadium can hold about 69,143.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum opened in 1923 and has played host to countless historic moments. It was the site of the very first NFL-AFL Championship Game (Super Bowl) in 1967, and it has hosted two Summer Olympic Games (1932 and 1984).

Lambeau Field in today’s NFL, with billion dollar stadiums, is one stadium still holding on to tradition. Opened in 1957, Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin is old-school football. Sellout crowds pack the stadium, even in sub-zero temperatures, to cheer on the Green Bay Packers. Here, the atmosphere alone is worth a trip to the NFL’s smallest city in population.
