The world-famous South Beach Wine and Food Festival is held in Miami, FL. This festival is one where people eat, drink, and have fun in a very friendly atmosphere. The world-famous, five-day event, (held in the month of February) in Miami is star-studded and features top chefs from all around the world. Many will come and make very spectacular dishes which are normally not found in or around Miami.

Hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Florida International University (FIU), this Food Festival benefits FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. Each year, more than 1,000 students and volunteers gain invaluable real-world cooking and culinary experience. The event serves as an interactive educational platform for future leaders in the hospitality industry, wine and spirits producers, chefs, and other culinary workers (industry personalities).

All proceeds from the event go to the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, FIU. As of 2018, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival has raised more than $28 million US dollars for the School. Also during its most recent festival, the executive managers of the festival collaborated with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to report that the 2018 Food Festival had an estimated economic impact of more than $34 million dollars on the entire Miami-Dade County local community.
