On January 4th, 2016, Brand new elements were added to the periodic table. How many elements were added?
On January 4th, 2016 four brand new elements were added to the periodic table. This addition makes the seventh row in the table now complete.
These 4 elements have been verified for the addition by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). According to the IUPAC, these elements have temporarily been named as 113, 115, 117 and 118 and are the first set of elements to be added to the table since 2011.
