In the Fourth season in episode "Ring Around The Rosie", CBI (California Bureau of Investigation) Special Agent in Charge Wainwright joined the show. During his initial episode in the series, this is when Wainwright (Rady) tells Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) that from what he has observed Jane shows most of the hallmark signs of being a high-functioning 'clinical psychopath'. He also says he will "adjust accordingly", as he knows what he is dealing with now.
In his role as a new superior, Wainwright is shown to be quite intelligent and somewhat arrogant at times. He sees part of his job as getting CBI to look good again, while putting a good foot forward in the media as well.
