Pedantry is which of these?

If you accuse someone of pedantry, you mean that you disapprove of them because they pay excessive attention to unimportant details or traditional rules, especially in connection with academic subjects.

A pedant is a person who is a formalist or precisionist in teaching or scholarship. The term comes from the Latin word paedagogare, meaning "to teach", derived from Greek terms for "child" and "to lead." The term is typically used in a negative connotation, indicating someone overly concerned with minutiae and detail.

Pedantry can also be an indication of certain developmental disorders. In particular those with Asperger Syndrome, or Higher Functioning Autism, often have behavior characterized by pedantic speech. Those with Asperger's tend to obsess over the minutiae of subjects, and are prone to giving long detailed expositions, and the related corrections, and may gravitate to careers in academia or science where such obsessive attention to detail is often rewarded.

Asperger's is no longer referred to as "high functioning autism". Rather, there is an umbrella term ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), to cover Autism, Asperger's (or Asperger) Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. The challenges and thinking processes in each of the three may overlap with each other, and hence the umbrella term as a person may have attributes of only one, or a combination of attributes from two, or all three. Neuro-divergent is another umbrella term, but it can cover a broader range of thinking processes/behaviours, such as ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Tourette Syndrome, ASD, and many others.

I experience pedantry with every question I submit. My questions have been rejected for a coma, or a single capitalization. I wish the same pedantry would be applied to some of the clones' questions.

This answer is wrong, it should be False appearance of goodness and virtue. When I looked it up, it said someone, the teacher tries to look smarter and better than the students so this answer is the closest to that.
