Chaetophobia is fear of hair, a type of specific phobia. Sufferers' fear may be associated with human hair and/or animal hair. They fear people or animals with an excess amount of hair. They may also fear the hair on their own body. Some only fear detached or loose hair and do not mind attached hair. The term chaetophobia comes from the Greek χαίτη - khaitē, meaning "loose, flowing hair" and φόβος - phobos, meaning "fear".

I th ink that this is a little tricksy, trichophobia is a fear of hair and chaetophobia is a fear of loose or falling hair

A Trichologist is a specialist in hair and scalp conditions, and Trichophobia is a fear of hair, so we have yet another wrong answer or at least two correct ones - please do your research

I think many of us - me included - went with trico (which was spelt without an "h" - so maybe that should have been a clue that it was an incorrect option). Trichophobia is indeed a fear of hair.

Tabu gay, your answer is incorrect as chaetophobia is fear of falling hair while tricophobia is fear of hair. You asked for fear of hair. If your are going to ask trick questions, at least ask the right one...
