The infant Moses was hidden among the bulrushes in what river ?
The story of Moses' childhood contains in the first 10 verses from Exodus 2.
Yocheved, Moses' mother, hid her newborn for 3 months and then placed her baby in a caulked wicker basket in the Nile River reeds to prevent him from drowning. Later one of the pharaoh's daughters came to the Nile to have a bath and suddenly heard the baby crying. She felt sorry for the child and rescued him. When the boy was old enough the pharaoh's daughter adopted him and named him Moses, which means "drew out".

Moses was called that name by the Egyptians, his own mother was Egyptian. Also the killing of male babies was another failed effort by Satan himself to try to stop not only the Deliverer(Moses) of the children of Isreal but later you would see the same tactics during the time of Jesus birth. Murder and enslavement has always been used to prevent the progression of a people who would be considered to be a threat to the so called powers that be. If everyone could be very honest with themselves, you would have to look real close to your own counties history(USA). From slavery to black males being used as experiments in Tuskeegee. The same tactics today but different methods to cover it up. But Almighty God is sovereign and is still in control and "all things will work together for the good of those that believe and who are called according to his purpose."

Amen!!!!!! Moses was a type and shadow of the coming Messiah JESUS CHRIST. Just as Moses delivered his people from the Egyptian's so Jesus Christ delivers people from Sin by HIS death, burial, and ,Resurrection!!! To those that believe in HIM.

History doesn't seem want to mention the many other groups of people who were captured, enslaved, beaten and cheaply sold around the world. For example the brutaly treated Irish in America's early years.
Unless we are born into wealth or one of the powers that be, we are all slave to someone so to speak.

This type of question should always be prefaced by “According to the Bible (or whatever religious book applies). It would forestall much debate.

May I add something in reference to black slavery. The ship Amistad went to Africa it was the spanish troops that were sold slaves from other Africans who thought the black people wouldnot amount to much so if you understand me right The Africians sold there own people into slavery. This is a fact if you really research it. I have . alot of them would not have survival skill like farming and trades if they had not come to colonies of yesteryear. I heard stories of slaves that were treated very well and cried when they were release because many had grown to love the famlies they were with . They were not all treated poorly as everybody thinks

Moses' birth mother was a Jew, not an Egyptian. The male children of the Jews were killed to prevent the Jewish people from becoming too many and rebelling against the Egyptians. Moses knew he was not sn Egyptian. His mother became his nurse after Pharoah's daughter adopted him.

Jane Oddo I agree, these people have been and continue to be unjustly treated. Our government and organizations send millions of $ in foreign aid each year to drill wells and provide food but nothing to provide help for our own people who are starving and are in dyer need of wells on the reservations.
I've often wondered if you took all the billions of $'s blown away on political campaigning and funneled it into charity, scientific research and educational needs how much better these situations would be.

MazzaTheresa, I would bet that there were more "bad" than "good" slavery situations. With Mans inhumanity to Man becoming more blatent in accepted society, there has to be something on the horizon. Another war? The Apocalypse? At least we know it won't be a flood this time. God promised.

Jas Newman, And you support experiments on the Jewish people in Poland and Germany? In the name of technology? So the big shot Nazi's could come to the US to build rockets?

Maize Blanchard, Of course no one is white like the "color" on this page or black like the print. We are all shades of brown, from the lightest ecru to the darkest brown. I'm afraid if you're white like this page, you may be some bloodless creature from the underworld. If black like this print, for sure necrotic, and if yellow, hopelessly jaundiced. So Moses, granted, most likely did not have blond hair and his skin tone more than likely tended to brown, but not the darkest brown of sub Saharan Africa.

Demetrius Chatman, Moses' adoptive mother was Egyptian because the princess saved him after his Hebrew mother put him in the basket in the river. Nothing to do with Satan. It was due to the Pharoah's decree to kill all Hebrew baby boys.
