The "Monty Python's Flying Circus" team produced a version made in German and called "Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus".

While visiting the UK in the early 1970s, German entertainer and TV producer Alfred Biolek caught notice of the Pythons and, excited by their innovative and absurd sketches, he invited them to Germany in 1971 to write a special German episode of their Flying Circus show and to act in them. Despite mixed audience reception, a second episode was produced in 1972. Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus was produced by Biolek and translator Thomas Woitkewitsch in co-production with Westdeutscher Rundfunk.

I have great German friends in Dortmund and Frankfurt and they all have a wonderful sense of humour. One family loves the British comedy series Fawlty Towers (John Cleese who was also one of the Monty Python team) and especially the episode of "Don't mention the War". The majority of the clients I had there also had great senses of humour so it's not fair to tar them all with the "no sense of humour" comment. There are people of all races who do not have great senses of humour.

We were TROTALY blown away when we were first introduced to the totally off-the- wall program in the 70's. It has held up well through the years.

Gee, I'm surprised they changed the title into German. Germany is basically a "suburb" of America. DENGLISCH seems to be their language now LOL They probably would have understood the English version! 🙄
