Surprisingly, the October Revolution occurred in November. The Russian people, tired of the aristocratic class which they toiled under, took up arms against the elitist class and overthrew the Czar shortly after.

Poorly worded question and the event took place over two days ... 6th and 7th November 1917 and by the Julian calender it was 24th and 25th October 1917.

Revolutions are led by people with agendas, so is a revolution a viable means of effecting change? Yes, but unfortunately not permanent change. As long as there are different agendas which fail to consider the consequences to others, there will be no lasting change. So NO, revolution is not a reasonable or effective solution to anything.
