The song "Home on the Range" is the state song of which US State?

The song “Home on the Range” was written, originally as a poem, by Dr. Brewster Higley IV while living in a dugout near Smith Center, Kansas in 1872. The poem was written to convey the beauty and serenity of the open prairie. Dr. Higley built a log cabin in 1875, and that is where he and one of his friends, Dan Kelley, wrote the music to go with his poem. While the song has been generally regarded as paying homage to the western United States, and the great plains in particular, the song was adopted as the official song of the state of Kansas in 1947.
