The question is quite tricky but we hope you managed to got that one right! The idea of choosing a "Man of the Year" dates back to 1927. The personal computer was the first non-human Time's Man of the Year. Since then, individual people, classes of people and some non-human objects (the computer aka "The Machine of the Year" and our planet Earth aka "Planet of the Year") have all been selected for the special year-end issue.
