What breed of cat was Sassy in the Homeward Bound movies?

In the Homeward Bound movies (1993-1996) one of the main characters is a Himalayan cat named Sassy.

The first Himalayan was found in 1931, a result of crossbreeding between a Persian and a Siamese. In the beginning, the International Cat Association (TICA) grouped Himalayans together with Persians and Exotic Shorthairs under a single “Persian Breed Group.”

The Himalayan can also be known as the Colourpoint Persian.

The coat of a Himalayan is either white or cream but the points can come in several colors: seal, lilac, chocolate, red, cream, blue, or sometimes even patterned.
