The RCA Corporation and the Corning Glass Works signed contracts with Poland for construction of an integrated facility to produce color television picture tubes.

The contract with RCA, valued at $71 million, called for long‐term technology transfer, including installation of complete color TV picture tube facilities in Poland. The contract with Corning, valued in excess of $50 million, was for equipment and technical assistance for construction of a color TV glass bulb plant there.

Corning said the glass factory was expected to start operating in the late 1970's and would be situated at Piaseczno in suburban Warsaw.
