What do these Asian countries have in common? Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, Macau, East Timor, Japan.
Many of the countries that today drive on the left were formerly part of the British Empire. But none of these Asian countries was ever part of the "Empire on which the sun never sets"!

They all drive on the correct side of the road. Leaves the sword arm free.

They officially have to drive on the left hand side of the road, although in some of the countries, in practice, it is a bit more random.
What has the US got to do with the question? The question is correct and valid.

Strange comment from eyeasha and fail to see the relevance. And I am with Bob on the sword arm. Rumour has it that Europe drives on the right because Napoleon was left handed and therefore wanted to have his sword arm free. Seems sensible to me.

jmw, Since the correct answer received the fewest hits (16, 18, 22, 43), it looks like the majority sort of agrees with you that it is of the lowest importance (that is precisely why I chose it - frequentlly the least likely option is the correct one).

Many counties drive on the correct hand side, obviously a lot of Asian countries and a lot of Australasian countries, Australia, New Zealand, and I believe quite a few Pacific Island Countries as well as Great Britian.

Bob Bracegirdle, : I dont know which is the correct side of the road. But I'm an American who found it very comfortable to drive on the left side of the road when I was in Japan.

Bob Bracegirdle, We don't need to have our sword arm free as we can shoot from either window.

Val Wilkinson, your ignorance knows no boundaries. You are an insufferable rude person and I feel sorry that you're such a bitter ignorant woman when it comes to North Americans.
