Irma Rivera, they are not always exploited. My Great Gran was a Child prodigy for playing the violin and was doing concerts at the age of 12 - she loved playing her violin and became a tutor in her adult life.

Chris Braid, Indigo children, according to a pseudoscientific New Age concept, are children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. The idea is based on concepts developed in the 1970s by Nancy Ann Tappe and further developed by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. I really would not think they are the same as a prodigy.
