Monochromatic images are not limited to black and white.
They are photographs or pictures developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color such as tones of only blue, only red, or any other single color.

Grey scale is a more accurate answer. Mono = 1. Black & white = 2 therefore bichrome or duochromre?
