he city of Islamabad was founded in 1960 in Pakistan as a future capital. The first Pakistani capital, Karachi, wasn't easily reachable from different parts of the country. Moreover, it was a developed business center, which wasn't very suitable for a capital, as business influenced much the governmental affairs. Islamabad was founded closer to the military headquarters in the city of Rawalpindi, which also made the capital less vulnerable. The capital was officially moved to Islamabad in 1966, when some important changes had already been brought.

Islamabad is located in the Pothohar Plateau in the northeastern part of the country, within the Islamabad Capital Territory. Islamabad is a well-organised international city divided into several different sectors and zones. It is regarded as the most developed city in Pakistan, its economic and culture capital. Thousands of visitors and immigrants come here every year to start a career or just to see the beauty of this wonderful city.
