I taught ESL to adult immigrants in a majority-Mexican immigrant community near L.A. for years. During my last year there were several cases of antibiotic-resistant TB in the school for which we were threatened with dismissal if we didn't get tested (even if we'd done our yearly test). I'm pretty sure that, as in Texas, it's due to illegal migration of individuals with low levels of education and vaccination; our Asian and other students had to get medical clearances to get visas. There you go- another valid argument for controlling migration.

Linda Pierman, I agree as my mother I didn't live with her at the time had it in KY..I was young not sure on all the points of hoe she got it but she was no where near the southern border. I was 9 so that was a good 60 years ago

Texas is not in the top 20 of states with deaths by gun. Executions range from 7-12 per year, down from 40 many years ago. Some places half of the gun deaths are suicide, sadly.
