A former police officer, Poirot is a fictional detective that appears in Agatha Christie’s works. Hardly more than five feet four inches, and a head with exactly the shape of an egg, Hercule Poirot, who is known for his magnificent moustache and successes as a private detective, describes his strict, no-nonsense secretary Miss Lemon as ‘Unbelievably ugly and incredibly efficient’.

Miss Felicity Lemon has few human weaknesses. The only two mistakes she is ever recorded making are a typing error in ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’ and the mis-mailing of an electric bill. She is an expert on nearly everything and dreams of creating the perfect filing system. She once worked for the government agent-turned-philanthropist, Parker Pyne. Whether this was during one of Poirot's numerous retirements or before she entered his employ is unknown.
