Barbara Hale (April 18, 1922 – January 26, 2017) was an American actress best known for her role as lawyer Perry Mason's legal secretary, Della Street, in the long running TV crime/courtroom series in which Raymond Burr played the title role. The series ran from 1957 to 1966, after which she went on to recreate the role in 30 "Perry Mason" made-for-TV movies.

Her career began as a contract player at RKO in 1943, where she made many B pictures, including several westerns. Many of her early roles were uncredited. Later credited roles were in such films as "West of the Pecos", "The Boy with Green Hair", "Last of the Comanches" and "Far Horizons", all before her turn as Della Street. After the TV series ended, she appeared in "Airport" and "The Giant Spider Invasion" in the 1970s.

Hale won a Best Supporting Actress Emmy Award for her portrayal of Della Street in 1959. Her star along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognizing her work in television, is located at 1628 Vine Street. In 2001, she received a Golden Boot award for her contribution to American western cinema. The award was bestowed upon those members of both the TV and movie industries of that genre, over a 25 year period from 1983 to 2007. She is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood, California.
