'An Absolutely Remarkable Thing' is a science-fiction novel by American vlogger Hank Green. It was published in 2018 and followed two years later by the sequel, 'A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor'. The duology is a story about a young woman called April, who gains overnight fame when she videos her discovery of an alien structure that communicates with the world via dreams.

William Henry "Hank" Green II (born 1980) is an American vlogger who produces the YouTube channel 'Vlogbrothers' with his older brother, John Green. He also creates content for educational YouTube channels, such as 'Crash Course' and 'SciShow'.

As well as 'Vlogbrothers', Hank and John created 'VidCon', the world's largest conference about online videos, and the 'Project for Awesome', an annual online charity event. Together, they also host the podcast 'Dear Hank & John'.

In 2012, Hank co-created 'The Lizzie Bennet Diaries', an online adaptation of 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen in the style of vlogs (video blogs).

Hank Green often ends his vlogs and podcasts with the phrase "Don't forget to be awesome", which is also the name of the record company he co-founded in 2008. Shortened to 'DFTBA Records', the music record label also sells merchandise for several of Hank's projects, his brother's novels and prominent YouTube stars.

In 2011, Hank created "2-D" glasses, which allows one to watch 3-D movies in 2-D. They were created for those who experience discomfort watching 3-D movies.
