What is the world's largest sand desert?
Well, the question was quite easy, wasn't it?
The surface area of the great desert is said to be about 3,600,000 mi2. It is just as large as the land area of China! The desert stretches from the east to the west, creating a huge dry spot.
The name of the desert was derived from an Arabic word صحارى which sounds like "sahara".

I understand we're talking about "sand desert" that it's difefrent to lot of terrain covered by Ice, nothing to see with the Artic or Anntartis, it's clear or not?.-
