What is this?
The Icelandic alphabet contains most of the letters of the English alphabet plus two or three rather unfamiliar ones. This one is called "Thorn" and is pronounced like an English "th".

So the have the 'th' sound in Icelandic. Most non English speakers find it difficult to pronounce this sound.
