What large working dog has a water-resistant coat and webbed feet?

The Newfoundland dog is a large working dog. They can be either black, brown, or white-and-black (called Landseer). Newfoundland dogs are known for their giant size, intelligence, tremendous strength, calm dispositions, and loyalty. They excel at water rescue/lifesaving because of their muscular build, thick double coat, webbed feet, and swimming abilities.

The Newfoundland's extremely large bones give it mass, while its large musculature gives it the power it needs to take on rough ocean waves and powerful tides. These dogs have huge lung capacity for swimming extremely long distances and a thick, oily, and waterproof double coat which protects them from the chill of icy waters.

If you take good care of them, exercise, healthy diet, etc. you should get a good 12 years. They tend to like to lay around, so it’s important to give them regular workouts! But having had three of them, they are the quintessential family dog and I can’t wait to be in a place where I can have another one!

If I were a young man able to handle large muscular dogs, I'd want to adopt a Newfoundland. That's OK though, I'm perfectly happy owning a dachshund who at times thinks she's a cominnation of Great Dane and German Shepherd.

Also very good guard dogs. I had a friend, long ago, who had one as a guard dog for her small herd of dairy goats. Some of the nannies would go berserk when he licked the new born kids. He was a gentle giant and monstrous, even for a Newfoundland.

We have a German wirehaired pup. Water 💦 resistant and has webbed 🐾 we have a Cane Corso he has webbed 🐾. I do not 🚫 have any knowledge on this pup just what I have seen on TV.
