What U.S. state produces the most oil?
While other states have recently seen a boom, Texas still remains the epicenter of the U.S.
Texas produced 1.2 billion barrels of oil in 2014, which accounted for 36% of total U.S.

Ben Totuous restrictions happen becsuse nut jobs took over the EPA who have no business being in it. One of Obama's appointees even bragged that they destroy businesses just to put fear into other businesses hearts in the same manner that Romans used to ride into a new town and crucify the first 3 men they saw. They are also inept. Blowing open a mine high up in the mountains of Colorado which poisoned a massive amount of streams and rivers. Then they high fived each other bragging that they would get billions of dollars for clean up they could play with. Nothing more dangerous than a stinking leftist.

Christopher John Goddard, Uh, there’s a difference between producing oil and refining oil! Alaska is the state that produces the most oil, crude oil. However it must be shipped out to a refinery and nearly all of the refineries are on the gulf coast and mostly in Texas. Next time use the correct language in your question.

Scott Wright, Why would we want to use our own oil reserves when American oil barons can continue to profit off the exploitation of foreign oil? We'll just keep doing it until all their reserves are depleted - then be the only country with oil.
