What was the first drive-through restaurant in the USA?
You will be surprised to know that the first restaurant of the kind appeared only in the mid-twentieth century. It served the customers for about 40 years! Originally, it was just a motel but later its owner decided to sell hamburgers to motorists. The idea was a lucky strike as the business turned out to be a success.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

The red’s Giant Hamburgers Wiki page says nothing about it being a drive thru. Only a restaurant. White Castle was founded as a burger joint in the ‘20s and soon franchised.

This one is kind of tough. If you go to In-N-Out, they say they wqere the first in 1948. Red's opened in 1947, however there is nothing to say when he added the drive through window. After getting it wrong, I tried researching the answer. It all depends on which website you get to. Seems like everyone claims to have had the first. How are we to truely know?
