What was the real life Dracula's nickname?
Vlad Dracula, was a noble in the Transylvania area of Romania. His nickname Vlad the Impaler was earned because he preferred to impale his enemies on a pole stuck in the ground. Vlad created a forest of hundreds of men impaled on poles as a warning to his enemies. Although Vlad was a violent ruler he is still considered a hero in Romania for fighting off the Islamic Ottoman empire. Dracula was also responsible for many major building projects including 3 castles.
