When was the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro dissolved?

The State Union of Serbia and Montenegro was a country in the Balkans, comprised of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro. It came to be after the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992-2003) was transformed into the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. FR Yugoslavia was formed after the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was dissolved due to the Yugoslav Wars.

In 2006, an independence referendum was held in Montenegro, which passed with 55.5% in favour of independence, effectively dissolving the union with Serbia, putting the final nail into the coffin of the Yugoslav idea.
