Where is the only place in the world where the sun rises in the Pacific and sets in the Atlantic?
People in part of Panama can watch the sun rise over the Pacific and set over the Atlantic because of the curve of the isthmus. An isthmus is a narrow strip of land that connects two larger land areas usually with waterforms on either side. The Isthmus of Panama connects the continents of North and South America. The Panama Canal bisects the Isthmus of Panama, and connects the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Because of the unique shape of the narrow Panama neck, the canal had to be built with Atlantic to Pacific traffic going roughly west to east. Anyone in that part of Panama, whether going through the canal or not, will experience the phenomenon described.

The question says: Nothing about the same person seeing the sun rise and set. The sun rises many miles from land as it also sets many miles from land. The question is in no way about the “Panama Canal” it’s about the country of Panama. You people make these questions way too hard and given the other choices this is easy.

The canal doesn’t run due E&W as one might think, nor does it run N&S. The fact is you end up further East if you enter from the Atlantic side and exit from the Pacific side.

To see the sun rise over water it would be the Gul of Panama, not the pacific. To see it set it would be over the Carribean Sea or Mosquito Gulf, not the Atlantic Ocean.

The question didn't say to see the sun rise. Only where does the sun rise, either way, it wouldn't be a big deal to drive from one side to the other before sunset or sun up. Depending on if you prefer to drive during the day or night. hahahha

Easy for me! I grew up there. As a "Pacific sider" , I always saw the sun rise over that ocean.

Equally unexpected may be the path you take through the canal, which is generally N to S or vice versa depending on the direction you are traveling.
