A note to Americans that complained about Lancs. Why didn't you complain about GA or CA? This is a worldwide game after all.

My favorite comedy team since I first watched them sometime back in the late 40's. I would drop everything if I were to learn they would be on TV at a given time. Now, I have the DVD's.

Carl Van Hove,
Simply being unfamiliar with a subject does not make the question misleading, but it does sound like sour grapes. Did you answer incorrectly?

I'm American by birth/nationality, and descend largely from British and some Irish lineage. I appreciate the variety of questions posed on QuizzClub, as I enjoy learning. I answered this correctly. I love Stan & Ollie! Stan's accent and mannerisms were too natural for him to be anything BUT English. A lot of Yanks don't get British humour. It can be passive, and often requires being as quick witted as the comedian...it isn't typically as in-your-face as The Three Stooges. Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were an expert, hilarious comedy duo.
I am all for questions based on topics not emenating from American pop-culture. Write some, y'all. 😎👍

oh just another opportunity for all you xenophobic Americans to wander down your garden paths and whinge... In the meantime, there are great educated Americans who can see a little further, who know and care about the world beyond their village... why not join them?

I know Ulverston well, it's a small town with a population of roughly 10-12,000 and it's about 4 miles from the sea and also approx 12 miles drive inland to the beautiful Lake Windermere and the Lake District.

Karin Johansson, yet again you're being petty, rude and ignorant. You must be so unhappy to be so rude to Americans. Seriously ,lady, grow up and just answer the questions rather than putting Americans down ALL the time. Act your age or dont comment. You are giving Brits a bad reputation.

A brilliant comic who, with 'Babe' Hardy, formed one of the most enduring comedy double acts the entertainment world has ever known. Their humour is timeless.
