Which 20th century US President won the highest percentage of electoral votes?
The United States presidential election of 1936 was the 38th quadrennial presidential election. Franklin Roosevelt received 98.49% (523 of 531) of the electoral vote. Ronald Reagan in the election of 1984 received 97.58% (525 out of 538) of the electoral vote when there were 7 more electoral votes available to contest. Nixon won 96.7% of the electoral vote in 1972 while Lyndon Johnson won 90.3% of the electoral vote in 1964.

Jakob Gerber, There a lot things tell us we don't live in a democracy. They are all in the Constitution. Gerrymandering and the Electoral College have nothing to do with each other.

Donna Means, In 1980 Reagan got 489 out of 538 electoral votes (90.89%) against Carter. In 1984 Reagan got 525 out of 538 electoral votes (97.58%) against Mondale.

Margaret after reading your post I googled the question and Roosevelt won with 98% and Reagan I believe 69%
