The American survival thriller film titled ‘Vertical Limit’ featured a father and his two adult children, a son and daughter, caught in a precarious situation left dangling by two falling climbers while rock climbing together. The setting is in Monument Valley, a region of the Colorado Plateau, near the Arizona-Utah borders in the United States.

The movie was filmed on location in Pakistan (location of K2) Queenstown, New Zealand and the United States.

The film was produced on a budget of $75 million USD, with box office receipts of $215.7 million USD.
