Staples Inc. is an American office retail company. It is primarily dedicated to the sale of office supplies and related products, via retail channels and business-to-business (B2B)-oriented delivery operations.

Throughout most of the company's history, Staples attributed, in its American commercials and advertisements, the slogan "Yeah, we've got that.", signifying their wide selection of products.

In 2003, this slogan was retired to soon be replaced with "That was easy". Expanding on this motto, 2005 adverts featured a large red push-button marked "easy". The function of the easy button is that when pressed, it'll say "That was easy".

Initially, the "Easy Button" was only intended to be a fictitious button with 'magical' properties, featured in their TV adverts. However, when the adverts appeared, there were high demand from customers contacting the company inquiring how they could buy one. The company responded by making the "Easy Button" a real product. The voice actor responsible for the easy button was Michael Shapiro, who voice acted as the narrator for the Staples easy button advertisement.

The easy button soon became a massive success. Since it's release in 2005, it has been estimated that Staples has sold over 8 million Easy Buttons, with just 1.5 million sold at the end of 2006.
