The iconic "snap" of a Kit Kat bar breaking has been central to its identity since the 1930s. The name "Kit Kat" is believed to have been inspired by the "Kit Kat Club," a political club in 18th century London, but its marketing has long centered around the distinctive breaking sound.

When Rowntree's (the original creator before Nestlé acquired the brand) designed the bar with its signature finger wafers, they realized the satisfying snap created a unique sensory experience. This breaking sound became so integral to the product that it inspired the famous slogan "Have a break, have a Kit Kat" in 1957.

Kit Kat has since become one of the world's most successful candy brands, with over 200 different flavors available in Japan alone, including unusual varieties like wasabi, baked potato, and sake. Despite these innovations, the classic snap remains consistent across all versions, making it instantly recognizable worldwide.
