Which college did quarterback Tom Brady attend and play football for before being drafted in 2000?
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. (born August 3, 1977) is an American Football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). For the first 20 years of his career he played with the New England Patriots where he led the team to their first Super Bowl title in 2001. This was the beginning of the Patriots dynasty and domination from 2001 to 2019.
Career highlights and awards are too numerous to list but two that are especially noteworthy are his record as a seven time Super Bowl championship team and being named the Most Valuable Player in the Super Bowl game, a record five times.
Prior to his professional career in the game, he attended and played quarterback at the University of Michigan, located in Ann Arbor on the eastern side of the state, in the lower peninsula. He played there from 1995 to 1999. For the first two years he was the backup quarterback while teammate and future NFL quarterback Brian Griese (born 1975) led the 1997 Wolverines to an undefeated season, which was capped by a victory in the Rose Bowl and a share of the national championship.
During his first full year as the starting quarterback, he set new Michigan records for most pass atttempts and completions in a season, for a total of 214.
Brady graduated from the University of Michigan in December 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies.
Most recently, in Super Bowl LV, Brady led the Buccaneers to a 31-9 win against the Kansas City Chiefs.
