Which crew member is killed in the final episode of the U.S. TV series "Star Trek: Enterprise"?
Commander Tucker is the crew member that is killed in the final episode of the U.S. TV series "Star Trek: Enterprise". Charles "Trip" Tucker III was portrayed by Connor Trinneer, as a fictional character on the television series "Star Trek: Enterprise". He was the chief engineer on the star ship. This is a job that he also briefly had aboard Enterprise's sister ship Columbia.
Tucker was born in 2121. His nickname "Trip" is short for "Triple"; he was the third generation of his family to be named Charles Tucker. He first met Captain Jonathan Archer around 2143 a decade prior to the launch of Enterprise. They had worked together on a prototype vessel which used a warp engine designed by Archer's father. Tucker decided to join Starfleet in 2139. He lived for 40 years and was a Starfleet officer for 22 years. He died in 2161.
In the last episode, when aliens get on the Enterprise, they want Captain Archer to take them to former associate (Shran). The captain refuses. The aliens are about to kill Archer, so Trip, thinking fast, tells them that he will take them to Shran. When Archer protests, the aliens knock him out. Trip leads the aliens to a harmless utility closet. He tells them it is simply an informal communication station; he is going to get Shran to come to them. Trip tells them that he must connect a couple of things. When he brings a pair of conduits together, a massive explosion erupts, taking out both Trip and the aliens. Trip dies after being fatally wounded.
