Which famous British landmark is this?
Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London.
This bridge was constructed in the latter half of the 19th century because the eastern part of London started to develop actively and its dwellers had to cross London Bridge to get to the other side of the river which was not very convenient.

Was it true that the incorrect Bridge was supplied to the US ? They apparently wanted Tower bridge but the ended up with London bridge ? I know the nursery rythme London Bridge is falling down predates this event. But makes me wonder if it was somehow fated to be supplied to the States.

As a matter of interest the oldest bridge crossing the Thames is the Richmond Bridge built in 1777

Richard S Levine. It is NOT the Towers of London. The Tower of London is a Norman Castle started by William the Conquerer around 1067. That holds the crown jewels.

Kaveri Bharath, the one in Arizona is original. In 1968 it was disassemled and each part was numbered before being sent over to the US, I know, I worked on it and helped with numbering. It was bought by Robert P, McCulloch for $2,460,000, crated and shipped over
