Which hawk is the largest?
The northern goshawk is a medium-large raptor in the family Accipitridae, which also includes other extant diurnal raptors, such as eagles, buzzards and harriers. Northern Goshawk are large hawks and the largest and bulkiest of the accipiters. They have broad, rounded wings and long tails. Relatively long secondary flight feathers give the trailing edge of the wing a curved or bulging look; the wingtips can look pointed in flight.

iqassoc, I think the question is just poorly worded and as a consequence is misleading. I think it should read which is the largest hawk from the list. As it is the question implies the largest hawk in the world.

The largest hawk is the Ferruginous Hawk. It is known to have up to 6-7" wing spans. Not the Goshawk that has a maximum wing span 4-5". So this answer is incorrect to begin with.

carlthedad, Do you mean wing spans of 6-7 feet (6'-7') ?? The Ferruginous has a wing span of 52.4-55.9 inches (52.4-55.9" or 133-142 cm).

Definitely incorrect answer. The Feruginous hawk is the largest hawk in the world. I answered the Northern goshawk because it was the biggest of all the hawks listed. Bad question, though.
