Which is the smallest and the thinnest of the following US coins?
The dime is a ten-cent coin, one tenth of a United States dollar, labeled formally as "one dime". The dime is the smallest in diameter and is the thinnest of all U.S. coins currently minted for circulation. As of 2011, the dime coin cost 5.65 cents to produce. The Coinage Act of 1792 established the dime (spelled "disme" in the legislation), cent, and mill as subdivisions of the dollar equal to 1⁄10, 1⁄100 and 1⁄1000 dollar respectively.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

For you whiners from the US, would the question have been so ridiculous if it asked the smallest/thinnest coin in the UK? This is a universal site and others may find the question interesting.

Too bad the explanation doesn't provide basically any information other that it's cost. It would have been enlightening to find out why it is the smallest in size, but not in value, what is printed on it, a brief info of the other USA coins, etc.

cynthiaannt, Yes! That's exactly what I said. He could have gotten his point across and gotten people on his side without the insult. But he went for a lose-lose instead of a win-win.

Bill Coe, what's with the "whiners"? I'm from the US and I think that that would be a good question, as well. You could have gotten your point across without the insult. You're not really contributing to the world viewing the British in a positive light. I'm not sure your fellow countrymen would appreciate the way you're making people from other countries view both your country and the people living in it. Maybe next time you should consider how both your actions and your words can have a negative impact on others, not just you. And how your words can get people from other countries who would have otherwise agreed with you (for example, me) to turn against you. People who insult for no reason whatsoever are a huge contributing factor to the growing cruelty of humanity (though most humans very rarely show any) as well as to the downfall of civilization as a whole. About as bad as social media and the overuse of political correctness (ie: the unnecessary use of pronouns; if you were born one gender, but consider yourself the other, that's completely fine; the more power to you. I both respect and admire you and the strength you have. But why are the pronouns necessary?) turning the next generation into a bunch of soft, sensitive, can't take a joke or a punch, babies. (I'm not saying that as an insult; I'm truly concerned with what the future has in store for us once my generation is to old to fight wars and the next generation who had been largely sheltered and catered to for every little whim has to step up to the Bill Coe, what's with the "whiners"? Bill Coe, it is always important to be treat others with respect and be a kind person. As a teacher, I expect students to refrain from name calling. As a role model, please do not name call. We will have a kinder world.
